A simple GTK4 based video player (not only) for mobile phones
A minimalistic GTK4 and gstreamer based video player for mobile phones like the Librem 5 aiming for minimal battery usage.
It works perfectly well on desktops too.
It supports:
Inhibiting suspend/idle when playing video
Stopping video playback on (i.e. power button toggled) blank
Suspending video (but not audio) when window is not visible to save 🔋
Registering as default video player in GNOME control center
An indicator whether hardware acceleration is in use
Setting playback speed
Play from popular video sites via yt-dlp
